This research investigates the effects of mixed sowing of amaranth and sorghum on yield and quality in the Central Aran Economic Region. The mixed sowing technology has shown the potential to increase yield compared to sole cropping. Agricultural producers, especially in the Central Aran region, using mixed sowing technology to produce more productive and high-quality crops, increase the economic feasibility of such cultivation. The study involved growing amaranth and sorghum plants under various sowing schemes and fertilization regimes. In the mixed sowing environment, amaranth and sorghum development complements each other, providing optimal growth conditions for both plants. The results show that mixed sowing leads to higher yield and quality for both crops. The cultivation of amaranth and sorghum together allows for better productivity from the same area. While sorghum exhibits higher height and stem length, amaranth develops faster and increases yield in a shorter time. Fertilization technology plays a crucial role in plant development, and the N90P75K60 fertilization scheme yielded the best plant growth. The results of this study suggest that agricultural producers, particularly in the Central Aran region, adopt mixed sowing technologies to produce more productive and high-quality crops. This method is also significant for efficient land use and applying sustainable agricultural technologies.
