PRELIMINARY SELECTION OF COMMON HAZEL ORNAMENTAL FORMS IN THE REPUBLIC OF ADYGEA

This paper describes the scientific work carried out in the direction of nut cultures in the Adygei Branch of the FSBSI “Russian Research Institute of Floriculture and Subtropical Crops” in 2017. The object of investigation is common hazel. Two ornamental forms of hazel were allocated and selected for further detailed study. The paper contains photographs of the selected forms, provides information on the selection sites, as well as gives a detailed methodological description of the botanical features. The allocated ornamental forms of common hazel also have a good fruits quality for food purposes. The work on the allocation, selection and study of hazel ornamental forms in the Adygei branch continues.
