The paper presents a comparative analysis of physiological and morphoanatomic indicators of various pear cultivars by the degree of resistance to stresses-factors during vegetative period. Their drought resistance was estimated by the character of changes in water regime parametres. It is revealed that water-retaining ability of a leaf blade in all genotypes has a high inverse relationship on a number of stomata on the lower leaf epidermis. According to the research results, there were identifid some pear cultivars that are most resistant to droughts in the summer period.
