Dictyospermum scale (Chrysomphalus dictyospermi Morgan, Hemiptera: Diaspididae) is an omnivorous pest. It was noted on the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus for the first time in 1927. Now it is widespread in a zone of humid subtropics of Russia and Abkhazia. It harms more than 25 plant species, including citrus plants, palm trees, bay, ivy, and other deciduous and coniferous ornamental crops. Female reproduction capability is 150–200 eggs. In the humid subtropics of Russia and Abkhazia, larvae of the first generation are massively found in June, the second generation – in August, the third generation – in late September.
