FERTILITY OF DAY-LILY (HEMEROCALLIS L.) CULTIVARS INTRODUCED IN THE FOREST-STEPPE CONDITIONS OF ALTAI REGION

In the forest-steppe conditions of Altai region, 10 from 40 cultivars of day-lily with maternal fertility were recorded. They are: ‘Darling Dilemma’, ‘Strawberry Candy’, ‘Fantasy Fire’, ‘Sudu Candy’, ‘Frans Halls’, ‘Smuggler's Gold’, ‘Raging Tiger’, ‘Rizhe-korichneviy’, ‘Ugound’, and ‘Melody Lane’. As well as there were recorded 6 cultivars with paternal fertility: ‘Strawberry Candy’, ‘Fantasy Fire’, ‘Darling Dilemma’, ‘Sudu Candy’, ‘Frans Halls’ and ‘Jovial’. Fruits formation was ranging from 25 to 100 %. Seeds germination rate was from 7.7 up to 100 %. Most week plants were registered in the progeny of ‘Darling Dilemma’ × ‘Fantasy Fire’ (71 %) and ‘Frans Halls’ × ‘Siloam Tee Tiny’ (73 %).
