THE INFLUENCE OF LANDSCAPING ON PEOPLE'S RECREATIONAL ACTIVITY IN STAVROPOL BOTANICAL GARDEN

Botanical gardens are a reference platform to demonstrate evidence-based examples of compositions and gardens made in different styles. One of the tasks of modern botanical gardens is not only to demonstrate the achievements in botanical science, but also to fully educate people in the field of landscape architecture. Botanical gardens are intended to serve as typical examples of landscape architecture and garden art, and are a place for holiday and recreation, awakening love and interest in nature. The paper provides an analysis of individual landscaping objects found at the Botanical Garden in regards to landscape construction and recreational use since its foundation to the present day. The most visited areas of the Botanical Garden are marked in this paper. The direct correlation between the territory improvement and its growing popularity among population with its use as a recreation zone was revealed.
