The paper presents the introduction study results on Hemerocallis middendorffii Trautv. et C.A. Mey based on South-Ural Botanical Garden-Institute –Separate Structural Subdivision of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution, Ufa Federal Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Information on the biology, geography and species culture is provided. It is established that this species is resistant when cultivated in conditions of the forest-steppe zone of the Bashkir Pre-Urals and is promising for gardening and breeding as a highly ornamental early-flowering species.
