SOME FEATURES OF ASIATIC LILIES HYBRIDIZATION

The paper presents some results on hybridization of Asiatic lily hybrids. A long-term comprehensive study of Asiatic lilies from domestic and foreign breeding allowed us to identify the sources of valuable traits. To obtain a new breeding material the hybridization involved cultivars, which were characterized by a complex of decorative and economically valuable features. A brief description of the original parent forms is provided in the paper. The analysis of the performed crossing combinations is also given. The new breeding material was received in the amount of 4 243 hybrid seeds of Asiatic lilies.
