FROM POLE TO POLE

ith a rich collection of subtropical, floral and ornamental crops, and the famous citrus Tree. The collection of Museum exhibits is about 7 000 items. The paper is based on the materials taken from the inventory and digitization of Museum funds (gifts to «the Friendship Tree»), held in the Botanical garden «the Friendship Tree» during 2020. The paper describes the gifts to «the Friendship Tree» and the history of their appearance in the Museum; these gifts symbolically unite the two poles of our planet: the water that sailors of the Northern fleet took from the death site of the patrol ship «Fog», the water from the ocean near the North pole, as well as the soil and stone taken from Antarctica, stations «Molodezhnaya» and «Bellinsgshausen».
