A wide variety of Hemerocallis hybrida hort. cultivars occupies one of the leading crops within outdoor floriculture in the modern period of decorative floriculture in Russia and abroad. In the forest-steppe zone of Western Siberia, long-term cultivar study and testing of daylilies are carried out, including breeding studies to obtain hybrids adapted to local cultivation conditions. The possibility of acquiring hybrid seedlings through intervarietal crossing and selection of seedlings from free pollination of the cultivars introduced in Siberia represents the novelty and relevance of this area. Intervarietal crossing of H. hybrida cultivars was carried out from 2002–2015, in 2019–2020, and in 2023 using diploid (2n = 22) and tetraploid (4n = 44) cultivars. The following cultivars were used as maternal and paternal plants: ‘Awaited Hourse’, ‘Green Wood Hall’, ‘Stafford’, ‘Fashion Garty’, ‘Fashion Queen’, ‘Solid Scarlett’, ‘Close Chaild’, ‘Red Fountain’, ‘Nashville’, ‘George Cunningham’, ‘Bambery Crismas’, ‘King of Hearts’, ‘Buzz Bomb’, ‘Regal Air’, ‘Emerald Joy’, ‘Luxury Lace’, ‘Sea Gould’, ‘Krasovsky’, ‘Chinence Chariot’. It was noted that the actual seed productivity as a result of crossing was 2–3 times lower than the potential. During intervarietal crossing, the number of seeds in the fruit varied from 1 to 19 pieces. During free pollination the introduced species H. citrina, H. minor, H. middendorffi and cultivars ‘Regal Air’, ‘Lady Hesketh’, ‘Nob Hill’, ‘Melody Lame’, ‘Fashion Queen’, ‘Luxury Lace’, ‘Buzz Bomb’, ‘Bambery Crismas’, ‘President Marcus’, ‘Full Rewild’, ‘Beloved Country’, ‘Cherry Lace’, ‘Emerald Joy’ had the real seed productivity 4–16 times higher than that when crossing. For the first time, 19 hybrid seedlings were described, selected as promising in terms of flower shape and colour, terms and duration of flowering in the conditions of the forest-steppe zone of Western Siberia.
