The paper provides an overview of the disturbed lands of the North Caucasus, as a result of mining. The condition of wild fruit and berry plants in disturbed areas was revealed, which depends on the types of substrates, relief, climate, parts of slopes and their steepness. Soil mixtures are divided into 3 main groups according to the degree of suitability for biological reclamation: unsuitable, hardly suitable, suitable. The latter group includes potentially fertile and fertile soils. The peculiarities of the formation of wild fruit plantations and their agroresource potential in the quarries of the North Caucasus are established. The distribution and development of wild fruit species on disturbed lands directly depends on soil mixtures, and the appearance of vegetation in quarries is a consequence of their potential ability to grow in these conditions. This feature is a signal for planting operations. The biochemical analysis was carried out; yield and productivity of wild fruit species were examined. It was revealed that in terms of suitability for biological restoration of disturbed lands, the best is blackthorn (prickly plum), alycha (cherry plum), sea buckthorn, dog rose and medlar. It is noted that when creating plantations of wild fruit plants on disturbed lands, an individual approach should be made for each section of the quarry. It is proved that certain types of wild fruit species need to be planted depending on their biological characteristics and the type of soils. Preference should be given to mixed plantings, the composition of which will depend on various environmental factors. The complexity of reclamation results from overcoming unfavorable, numerous factors and consists in creating an optimal relief and water-regulating regime of the territory. Restoration activities include sanitary, aesthetic, hygienic, nature protection and other tasks.
