The purpose of this work was to identify environmental factors affecting the concentration of oxalic acid, toxic to humans and animals, in Aglaonema robeleynii (Van Geert) Pitcher & Manda in different organs, depending on age and different environmental growth conditions (plants were grown on different substrates and under different lighting intensity). In addition, data on morphometric parameters of individuals of different age groups (juvenile, young and middle-aged generative) are presented. The determination of oxalic acid content was carried out according to the generally accepted method by A.I. Ermakov using a reagent for precipitation of oxalic acid and subsequent titration with potassium permanganate in the presence of sulfuric acid. Juvenile plants were grown from seeds, while young and middle-aged generative individuals were taken from the collection of the Tropical and Subtropical Crops Department of the Botanical Garden of the Samara National Research University named after Academician S.P. Korolev. The analysis of soil granulometric composition was carried out by the wet method; the illumination was determined by a portable Testo 605H1 luxmeter. It is shown that the highest oxalic acid content accumulates when grown on peat and sand, as well as when chalk is added to the soil, in the light (at 353.9 lux), especially in middle-aged generative individuals. It was found that the concentration of oxalate is maximal in the leaf blade and in immature fruits, although it is contained in petioles, seeds and in small amounts in mature pericarp. When there is a lack of light, the length of the petiole in juvenile individuals increases, but the width of the leaf and the thickness of the stem at the root neck do not change significantly.
